keywords for your business or niche blog

August 21st, 2009

In today’s economic climate.  It is essential that all businesses take advantage of advertising and marketing online.  Even if they solely provide their services and products via bricks and mortar store-front location.  There are many different areas that you can develop your advertising potential online.  I hope this guide will be of some benefit to the smaller local businesses.  In any town or city.

As with any business or niche, you will have particular keywords associated with you and your business.  You need to focus on these keywords when developing your advertising efforts on line.  By developing a strong content in any articles that you publish or blogs that you write.  That includes these particular keywords for your business.  You will be drawing the attention of all the search engines, and the people search, these engines for a product or service. Let me Give you an example.

A friend of mine is about to launch a coffee bar.  That includes art studios and gallery space.  In these areas of business, there are a wealth of keywords and phrases that can be associated with the business.  By the use of tools that are easily found on the web (You can use Google Tools), you can develop these keywords and build your content that will focus on a particular area, by writing an article in your blog about each separate area that the business is broken into.  Its relevant, departments.

  • Coffee Bar.
  • Art Gallery
  • Artists Studios

Okay, now let’s look at the keywords that are related to the Coffee Bar

  • Coffee bar.
  • Coffee shop
  • Coffee Emporium
  • Cappuccino
  • Latte Coffee
  • Fresh Coffee Beans
  • Fresh Ground
  • Coffee Break.
  • Espresso Coffee

Now let’s look at the keywords that are related to Art Gallery.

  • Art gallery
  • art exhibition.
  • Artist
  • modern Art.
  • Contemporary art.
  • Pop art.
  • Sculpture
  • ceramic art.
  • Ceramic sculpture.
  • Fine Art.
  • Art shop

Now let us look at the keywords that are related to an Artists Studio

  • Art studio.
  • Artist studio.
  • Art studio hire.
  • Art community.
  • Studio space.
  • Natural light.
  • Art studio models.
  • Art studios available.
  • Studio space for hire.
  • Perfect studio accommodation.
  • Professional Art studio.

This gives you an example of the types of keywords that can be used in this particular areas, it is not a complete list is just a guideline.  Obviously, you would need to do a lot of research into your particular niche within your business to see what keywords best describes accurately, what product or service you want to promote.

By using these groups of keywords.  You can create content for both your website and for your blog relating to your business.  The content on your blog should be regularly updated.  I would recommend to establish the blog post every day to the first month or two.  This can be reduced down to two posts a week as the blog develops, but definitely keep everybody up to date with any latest promotions, offers, &  new developments in products or services.

Keep the content of the blog on a more personal level, it  is not meant to be a full resume of the business is just an insight into what is coming up in the future or what is relevant at the moment as far as special offers sales etc..

When you are creating your blog.  You have to take into consideration, your main word’s to your business.  It could be the business name, or it could be the product name.

If you already have your own domain link to your business.  Let’s presume it is the actual name of the business as in this example http://thedeafcat.com or you could use one of the other prefixes like
.co.uk
.net
.biz
there are many others to choose from.

You would then include a URL specifically dedicated to the blog.  For instance http://thedeafcat.com/blog
or
http://blog.thedeafcat.com

I have more information on how you create these two different extensions to young main domain coming in later articles.  So look out for them.

Another thing to remember is that once you have your blog created you need to look at the subheading of the blog this can go into a little bit more detail on the keywords surrounding the business.  Choose three or four of the main keywords in this instance it would be

This would form a subheading like this

Coffee Bar | Art Studio | Art Gallery

New post to the blog should be laid out as follows

  • The URL should include the specific keywords for that particular post.  Always make sure that you limit the number of keywords for each post to three to four.  So the content stays relevant to the subject.  On top of this you would use the business name as a keyword also.
  • You should use the keywords throughout the content of that particular post.  A least four or five times throughout the post to, each one.
  • Each of those keywords should be typed in bold.  And if necessary italicised

Whenever the business is mentioned within the blog post hyper-link it back to the relevant product or service within your domain.  For instance, if you’re talking about the coffee shop.  Then link it to the main page that shows that information to the coffee shop.  And so on.  Also if you are mentioning other businesses that are relevant to yours but not actually your own business, out of politeness.  Please make sure that you asked permission to use any relevant content that you have taken from them, either text or graphics.  Most people don’t mind this, as long as you put a hyper-link back to their site.  This is what is known as `back linking‘.

Any graphics to use on your website make sure that they are saved on your computer first and then upload it either directly to the domain or somewhere like Flicker, and that the name files for these graphics are relevant keywords field for your business .

At this point I would like to thank Laura Brown & Kevan Middleton, from http://thedeafcat.com in using Their business as an example on how creating a blog for business can be it a simple task.

Take care because I care.

Michael Rasmussen’s “Email Promos Exposed”

August 1st, 2009
Have you ever been faced with the task of having
to write an email promotion to your list, and
then realized that you didn’t know what to say or
how to say it?

Michael Rasmussen’s new video course “Email
Promos Exposed” promises to solve that problem
for you by walking you through the actual process
of creating killer email promos step-by-step.

*************************************************
If you’re in a hurry, just go ahead visit this
URL to get instant free access to these videos:

http://www.emailpromosexposed.com/?thankyou-page=135247
*************************************************

I decided to see if Michael’s videos live up to
their promise by trying them out myself. Here’s
what I found:

*************************************************
Overall Quality
*************************************************

The first thing I noticed when I opened up the
first video was the stunning production quality.
He used Camtasia Studio for the production, which
is now the industry standard for creating
high-quality screen capture video products. The
audio is near studio quality, and the graphics
are very professional. These videos were made by
someone who KNOWS what he’s doing. Well done!

I also liked how Michael divided the videos up by
section, and then again by sub-section. For
example, one video is all about the subject line,
and then there are different parts of that video
that each cover a certain area of crafting a
killer subject line.

Now let’s move onto…

*************************************************
THE ACTUAL VIDEOS
*************************************************

Here’s a brief summary of each video. Obviously
it’s impossible to list every single thing here,
but I want you to get a feel for what each one
covered, and how well it covered it.

*************************************************

VIDEO 1 – INTRODUCTION

This video served as an introduction to the whole
course. You get to see a picture of Michael in
his every day life, and he establishes his
credibility right up front by talking about some
of his massive successes online. He even provides
proof of credibility by displaying two checks in
the amount of $50,000 and $25,000 which prove
that, when it comes to the subject of making
money with email promos, he knows his stuff.

This is a good lesson for anyone to get. Whenever
you’re teaching people how to do something, it’s
good to establish your credibility up front, so
that there’s no doubt about whether or not you’re
qualified to talk about the subject. Most product
developers either skip or minimize this step.

VIDEO 2 – BEFORE YOU WRITE THE PROMO

This video talks about some things that no other
marketer has bothered to mention. You’ll learn
things like:

* The mindset you need in order to write a killer
promo

* The different tools you need before you get
started

* How to keep your emails laser-focused

* How to create an outline that practically
writes the email for you.

This was a fantastic video, and did a good job of
kicking things off.

VIDEO 3 – THE SUBJECT LINE

I liked this video, because it talked about one
of MY biggest weaknesses when it comes to writing
email promos… the subject line. The subject
line is a confusing topic, because nobody’s 100%
sure what the best tactics are.

Michael breaks it down, and reveals:

* The biggest secret for writing a subject line
that makes people insanely curious.

* Techniques for personalizing the subject line.

* Mistakes to avoid when using personalization.

I was surprised to find that I was making some of
the mistakes that Michael mentioned in this
video, but now I know better.

VIDEO 4 – THE OPENING

This is where a lot of people slack off when
writing their emails. Michael talks about how
important it is to create an opening that is
conversational, and then reveals techniques and
examples on how to do that.

He also reveals:

* How to get people to keep reading your email
once they’ve opened it.

* How to make your opening interesting.

* Mistakes to avoid when creating your first few
paragraphs.

VIDEO 5 – THE BODY COPY

This is one of the “meatiest” portions of the
course, because it reveals techniques that are
not widely discussed on the forums, blogs, and in
most eBooks. He talks about the importance of
keeping your body copy tight and relevant, and
then reveals how you can do that. You’ll also
learn:

* How to write powerful bullets that make people
curious and want to find out more.

* Simple formatting tricks for making your body
copy easy to read.

* The secret of “bucket brigade copy” and how to
use it in your email promos to force people to
keep reading.

VIDEO 6 – THE CALL TO ACTION

This is where a lot of people wimp out in their
email promos. They start out strong, but when it
comes time to ask the reader to click the link
and take action, they don’t know what to say.
Michael talks about some of his favorite
techniques for making that happen, and also
reveals:

* The “magic question” to ask yourself that will
make your close much more powerful.

* The secret of the “unanswered question” and why
handling this is a surefire way to get people to
act right away.

* The structure of a powerful close.

* Mistakes people make when creating their close.

VIDEO 7 – CREATING AN EFFECTIVE P.S.

Some people say that the P.S. is one of the most
important parts of the email, because it is often
the one thing that gets people to click the link
at the end. In this video, Michael talks about:

* Why you should including a P.S. at the end of
your email.

* The 4 different kinds of P.S.’s you can use
(this section was a real eye-opener for me).

VIDEO 8 – COMMON MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE

I loved this video, because it showed me some
mistakes that I was making that I wasn’t even
aware of. Unless you’re a seasoned pro, you’re
probably guilty of some of the things that
Michael talks about in this video as well, and
that’s why it’s so valuable. I’ve shaved years
off my learning curve, because now I can avoid
some of the costly mistakes that I was bound to
make in the learning process.

VIDEO 9 – HOW TO CREATE FOLLOW-UP EMAIL PROMOTIONS

This video alone is going to make me a lot of
money. Why? Because I used to only send out one
email promo for each affiliate promotion I was
doing. Michael showed me in this video how
important it is to send a follow-up promotion,
and he showed me exactly how to do it. He covered
things like:

* The psychology of follow-up email promo’s.

* The 2 main types of follow-up promos that make
the most money.

* How to overcome readers’ objections in your
follow up emails.

* The 2 most common mistakes people make when
writing follow-ups and how to avoid them.

VIDEO 10 – HOW TO WRITE BACK END EMAIL PROMOTIONS

Every marketing guru out there says that the REAL
money is on the back end. I’d have to agree with
them, but the problem is… most people have no
idea how to set up a back end system that makes
money. This video will teach you how to set up an
automated back end that’s loaded with killer
promos that make you lots of cash on autopilot.
He reveals things like:

* The big difference between regular and back end
email promos.

* How to prepare a back end promotion sequence.

* Common mistakes people make when creating back
end email promos.

VIDEO 11 – CREATING AFFILIATE EMAIL PROMOTIONS

This could be the most important video of the
entire package for a lot of people, because most
people email their list to promote other people’s
products as an affiliate. Let’s face it, if you
only have 3 products, can you really afford to
only email your list 3 times a year? They’ll get
bored hearing about the same old products over
and over again. This video sheds some light on
how to create killer affiliate promos. Michael
reveals things like:

* The two main types of affiliate promos.

* What makes affiliate promos different than
regular promos (and why ignoring this huge secret
could cost you big money).

* Michael’s favorite tactics for creating
affiliate promos that no one else is doing.

* 3 different ways to add scarcity to your
affiliate promos (this is the most important
section of the video, so make sure you watch it
over and over again).

*************************************************
CONCLUSION
*************************************************

As you can see, Email Promos Exposed really packs
a lot of punch! Most of the courses out there
offer only watered down, weak content. Not this
one! These videos are going on my “A-list” for a
long time.

I’ve already watched them twice, and plan on
reviewing them every couple months to make sure
that I have the principals, techniques and
tactics burned into my mind.

If email marketing is an important part of your
business (and in my opinion, it’s the most
important part of ANY online business), then you
owe it to yourself to check out Michael’s
exciting new videos, Email Promos Exposed.

Here’s the URL where you can get instant free access
to the videos right now.

Building a “Business Funnel” and Help Your Business Start Earning More Money

July 14th, 2009

Practically every business out there operates on a “business funnel” system. What exactly does this term mean and how can you use to earn some money for your business? The concept of a business funnel is actually a fairly simple one that takes just a minute to wrap your brain around. One end of the funnel (the smaller end) is your front end sales and the other consists of back end sales (larger end).

Front end sales are the products and services you can quickly sell to your customers. This is where you make a fast return on your goods. Back end sales include the things that you sell to those clients later on, through return business, additional services or affiliate
programs. Sure, it’s rewarding to make those fast front end sales, but it’s also a lot more work to get those sales made. With back end sales you will build more lucrative and long-lasting wealth that can maintain and grow your business over time with much less effort spent.

The business funnel concept is nothing new in the marketing world. Retailers use this all the time. For example, let’s look at the local grocery store. Every week, they send out ads selling items at low prices, some even offering buy one get one free deals to consumers.

The advertisements are what get customers like you in the door to take advantage of these front-end sales items. But what the grocery store knows is that you will more than likely walk out of the store with an additional $40 worth of grocery purchases because smart consumers get everything they need for their household in one trip to save on gas and time. While the front end items may have cost you around $20 or so and saved you a good deal of money, the additional purchases you made are how the store made its real profits. In other words, the small end of the funnel was the sales items, the bigger end of the funnel and profits were the large grocery purchase you just made.

Many business owners concentrate too much on the front end sales, but the smart business owner will offer front end items but concentrate more on the back end profits they can potentially make. Likewise, if you are a business owner and you have a website where you can advertise your products, specials and other information about your company, you can take advantage of the business funnel idea to increase profits and make more money for your company.

Recently, BusinessWeek offered a webcast about “Turning the Reverse Funnel Upside Down” (Ron Hubsher, BusinessWeekOnline.com) What the author and host of this webcast was trying to promote is the business funnel system; increasing wealth with back-end sales instead of spending so much time with front-end efforts. It’s not a new concept; the way it is executed with the power of the Internet is just new.

So how can you as a business owner with a website and a dream start building wealth using the business funnel model? Here are some ways you can do this and start making money with less effort:

The web-seminar. This is a new twist on an old idea. The Internet is full of information just waiting to be found. Offer your website viewers the opportunity to review a free web seminar offered remotely via their computer or a phone in session (called a tele-seminar).

While holding the seminar, the host can offer free information and advice, allow callers to comment and the whole thing gets recorded for later promotion. At the conclusion of the seminar, offer participants the opportunity to attend a low-cost class or provide a deal for one of the services or products your company offers. If they like the information you present, they will be hooked and will keep coming back to learn more.

Offer affiliate opportunities. That’s right, you can build up a nice back-end income by allowing others to share in and promote your products and services with a small monetary incentive as their reward. Affiliate programs are becoming wildly popular ways to make more back end sales with minimal efforts on your behalf. It’s basically a low cost alternative to advertising and offers endless networking opportunities
. Just think for every website visitor you get, each person may know hundreds of other people who may be interested in what your company can do for them. It’s a new concept based on word-of-mouth advertising that offers great potential for anyone who taps into this.

Have an action plan. Just as any organization would include a plan for growth and sales, your business needs to come up with a plan to add back end products to the existing offerings. For example, if you offer products for home building, you may also want to offer financing or consulting as some additional services. You can affiliate yourself with other companies who will provide these services and then make an income from their efforts, just for referring customers their way.

Be accountable. Each person in your company should be responsible for the success of the growth and wealth building, even if it’s just you. That means following up on every possible lead that may introduce you to other sources of income. That means measuring everyone’s success to determine what’s working and eliminate things that aren’t. It is recommended that your business spend at least an hour everyday seeking out other residual forms of income to build your back-end of the funnel.

With just a few simple methods, your business can earn a substantial amount of income by building up back end sales. Using the business funnel system is a great way to increase the chances that you will be earning more money with less effort.

BZ9 Automated Sales Systems

July 10th, 2009

BZ9 Automated Sales Systems

Automated Sales Systems are a ‘must have’ when it comes to running ANY online business.

Your online business needs quality Sales Systems to provide sales, lead generation, newsletter subscribers and multiple marketing opportunities.

These Automated Sales Systems should provide internet entrepreneurs the tools, training and automated lead generation for those who have or are seeking to start an internet business to eliminate the reasons many home business ventures fail.

Automated Sales Systems that automate sales, lead generation, recruitment of newsletter subscribers and customer handling are the key to any marketer’s success and minimize the premature failure of the small business.

According to David Lockley a truly adaptable automated sales system should:

- Sell any product, service or opportunity
- Be easy to set up
- Be set up in less than 15 minutes
- Not take up any more than an hour a week to maintain
- Easily capture lead details
- Allow you to easily keep in contact with your leads and prospects
- Allow for automated messaging with your prospects

David Lockley has developed an outstanding automated sales system; it takes less than 15 minutes to set up and can be rolled out time and time again to sell any product or service.

Without prospects or traffic to your website your business is dead. The key to web traffic is lead generation; specifically automated lead generation and sales.

Don’t let your business fail through the lack of an automated sales system, choose the right one and you will see your business flourish.

404 Error Page

July 5th, 2009

Have you ever visited a website, but typed in the wrong
url after the domain name?  What did you see?

Chances are you saw a generic page that said something
like, “The page cannot be displayed,” or “Not Found,”
or “The requested URL was not found on this server.”

This is what is more commonly known as the 404 Error
Page.  It’s the page that shows up by default when
someone ‘accidentally’ types in the address of the page
they are looking for on your site incorrectly.

Now, in many cases, it truly happens by mistake. However,
in many other instances, people end up on this page
because they are snooping around trying to look for your
download page or thank you page without having to pay
or opt-in.  Kind of shady, but people do it.

Why, not capitalize on it whether they are doing it
purposely or they are truly ending up there by accident.
If you have your own website and it gets traffic, some
of your visitors are ending up on that page.  Now, if
they are seeing the generic message that their browser
shows them when it happens, then you are not making
good use of your web real estate.

Every page of your website can put money in your pocket.
Even your 404 error page.  You can customize that page
just like any other page on your website.

Some ideas to utilize on that page include:

-Making an special offer at a discounted price.
-Having it be a squeeze page.
-Making it an Adsense page.
-Redirecting it to a related affiliate product.

Those are just a few of the many different, yet profitable
types of ways you can make good use of your 404 error page.

It won’t make you rich, but it definitely will put some
extra money in your account.  Maybe it will help you pay
one of your bills, or you can just reinvest it into your
business.

Either way, if you don’t customize this page, you can be
leaving money on the table.  Having something for your
visitors to see that end up on that page is extremely more
beneficial to you then not having anything on that page.

Here’s to making good use of every page on your website.

All the best,
Dee
